Resumo: In an attempt to contribute to the training of nutrition students with the Food Education we developed a short term course of pedagogical practices directed to the Nutrition Undergraduate course at the Federal University of Lavras. Thus, the objective is to make a report of the experience of this practices. Initially was presented topics related to natural and processed foods, from a critical perspective, through pre-selected videos. The idea was that the participants of the short course had a sense of how to develop a teaching methodology using the ideas of these videos. Then the students was divided into groups, each group had the presence of at least one member of the Institutional Scholarship Program of Teaching Initiation (PIBID). The groups had to develop a methodology for teaching a subject treated in the video, making use of different teaching resources as recyclable materials. The methodologies were presented, at a later moment, by their own creators. At the end a written evaluation was made with the participants. With a further analysis of the evaluations, was perceived the importance of this training space to stimulate discussion and promote reflections on the practice itself. It can be said that the short term course contributed to the training of the students undergraduate course in Nutrition present there.
