Abstract: The identification of aspect candidates in the early phases of software development process allows improving the modularization of the requirements, to detect conflicts early and maintain the separation of concerns in the later phases of the process. However, the identification of aspects in initial phases is a non-trivial task, which can be costly and too time-consuming. This paper presents a technique to assist in the identification of aspect candidates in the requirements, through inspection. Two case studies were carried out to evaluate the proposed technique. The results obtained from the case studies let us conclude that the proposed technique facilitates the identification of aspect candidates
