Competitividade de empresas de abate e processamento de frangos da cadeia avicola do oeste do Paraná: uma análise sob a ótica da Swot

Abstract

The present research has as general aim to characterize and to analyze, under the optics of SWOT, the competitiveness of discount companies and processing ofthe poultry chain ofthe West region ofParaná, inthe vision of these companies, with focus in the segments of supplies, production and distribution. For the accomplishment of the study, it was used as a secondary data, coming of bibliographical research, as primary data, collected through form of subjects applied at 06 (six) discount companies and processing of chickens. As result, it was observed thatthe discount companies andprocessing ofchickens are competitive, presenting in the three researched segments, many forces and opportunities, although there are some weaknesses andthreats. Inthe segment ofsupplies, themain forces are: the good commercial relationship with the suppliers ofveterinary and component inputs, the good relationship withthe producers for the fattening ofthe chickens, the good readiness and the prices of the grains, the overall structure ofthe área and the technology used in the aviaries. As opportunities idenüfy improvements in the logistics, and the capacity for investments in the production ofhead offices and in the aviaries. Thethreats of the segment refer to theterrible conditions ofconservation ofthe rural highways and ofthe highways through where it is transported the ration, the chicks of one day and the chicken for the discount. In the production segment, the forces are: thedischarge technology inthe discount and processing, the capacity to assist to the consumeis demands and to absorb the impacts of politics large economy. In the distribution segment the forces and opportunities refer to the logistics with an increase perspective in the productivity ofthe transport, starting from the use ofmodal differentiated. Observing the analysis of these three segments can be inferred that the discount companies and processing of the poultry chain of the West region of Paraná State, are competitive.
