Abstract: In recent years, the PIBID program has proved to be a public policy that brings closer different instances for teacher education. Among the possibilities tendered by the program, we highlight the participation in scientific events. This research aims to identify the contribution of the program in the formation of future Physical Education teachers who are pursuing a degree in UNEMAT University, located at the Cáceres campus, in the state of Mato Grosso, referring mainly to those aspects related to the participation in scientific events. The research included interviews with seven fellows from initiation to teaching, who highlighted the success of the PIBID program in reaching their targets, especially the opportunity of having contact with the universe of scientific events, a benefit provided through the program’s resources.
