Avaliação educacional nos Cadernos de Pesquisa da Fundação Carlos Chagas, Brasil (1992-2012)

Abstract

The article analyzes the production on educational Evaluation&Assessment published, from 1992 to 2012, by the scientific journal Cadernos de Pesquisa edited by the Carlos Chagas Foundation, a Brazilian institution specialized in conducting competitions and researches in the educational area. The methodology consisted in the categorization of the material in the light of bibliometric studies and in its organization through content analysis. We selected 214 articles from a universe of 811 papers published in the period. The article is structured in three moments, the first presents the research on educational evaluation in Brazilian scientific journals, the second one is describes the methodological course of the research and in the third the results of the work are presented, through its mapping and distribution in thematic categories. The research shows that the magazine is an eminently Brazilian publication, with its production coming from institutions and research centers located in the southeast region of the country. The focus of the discussions on evaluation is directed at issues related to basic education. With regard to the main topics addressed, there is a repositioning of the discussions to new approaches that favor more general aspects of the evaluation, with emphasis on its historical elements, for quality in evaluation and schooling in cycles.
