Abstract: The associative mapping by the Linkage Disequilibrium study with the aid of the matrices of population structure and parentage related regions of DNA with interest traits. Among the advantages of this technique are: access exploration of germplasm and lines-elite without the need of the development of controlled populations. It is important to emphasize that the mapping of QTL’s and the association mapping are complementary methodologies. The objective of this study was to confirm/identify new QTL’s for reaction to white mold directly on the lines of VCU trials and ELITE program of bean breeding of the Federal University of Lavras. For reaction to white mold were analyzed 144 lines of the assays: VCU and the ELITE program in four environments. For three crops in the field, it was used design triple square lattice partially unbalanced, and for the fourth environment, in the greenhouse, the randomized block design with two replications. For associative analysis, it was used the mixed model (Q + K). The matrices Q and K are used to contemplate the population structure and parentage respectively in the group of individuals/lines of interest. These matrices were estimated by microsatellite SSR and AFLP markers. It was confirmed some markers linked to QTL’s for reaction to white mold, previously identified in exotic cultivars, including SSR BMd15, BMd20. It was identified other markers such as EagcMcag810 and EaaaMcat655 for reaction to white mold. All these markers were identified directly in the lines used in the breeding program of the Minas Gerais state. Thus, it was confirmed the associative mapping as a technique with great potential to assist in the choice of genitors for future crosses, as well as a tool for achieving greater genetic gains for white mold resistance.
