Abstract: Conducted in a private school in Lavras-MG, this research arises during Emergency Remote Teaching, but aiming to solve a question that has been present in schools for a long time: how to stimulate student interactions during the teaching process? A didactic sequence on Thermology was prepared, based on Just-in-time Teaching, whose objective is to promote student interactions during classes. They watched selected videos sent before synchronous meetings and answered questions related to the themes. The purpose of these previous activities was to arouse interest, anticipate interactions and identify students' doubts to favor interactions in class. The analysis of materials, interactions and the effectiveness of the elaborated strategy took place through the construction of an Experience Report. This report contains analyzes of the responses given in the activities and/or in the synchronous meetings, the different types of interactions that took place in the classroom and the communicative approaches used in each part of the didactic sequence. It was noticed a change in the behavior of both the teacher and the students, with an increasing number of interactions throughout the development of the work. These interactions have also become longer and more academically elaborated. Each part contains observations and suggestions for improvement in future developments. It is worth mentioning that, despite having taken place in remote teaching, we strongly believe that the proposal will be even more effective for face-to-face teaching.
