Resumo
Funções de crescimento são utilizadas para representar graficamente o aumento de peso em função da idade (denominada curva de crescimento). Para propor uma nova função para descrever todo o crescimento na vida produtiva de fêmeas considerando simultaneamente os efeitos da idade, gestação e lactação, utilizaram-se dados obtidos no Instituto Agronômico do Paraná (IAPAR), constituindo-se de registros de pesos de 19 fêmeas Nelore (NN), 7 F1 Guzerá x Nelore (GN), 19 F1 Red Angus x Nelore (RN), 4 F1 Marchigiana x Nelore (MN) e 17 F1 Simental x Nelore (SN). A nova equação de predição foi composta por três funções: ganho de peso com o passar da idade, ganho de peso durante a gestação e perda de peso na lactação. Ajuste simultâneo das funções mostrou coeficiente de determinação múltiplo ajustado (Ra²) entre 0,996 e 0,998, com desvios-padrões menores que as estimativas dos parâmetros e valor da estatística de Durbin-Watson maior que 0,8, quando a função foi ajustada às informações dos grupamentos NN, MN, RN e SN, indicando que a função apresentou um bom ajuste. Verificou-se que a nova função descreveu todo o crescimento na vida produtiva de fêmeas, considerando simultaneamente efeitos da idade, da gestação e da lactação.
The growth functions are used to represent graphically the weight increase in function of the age , this representation is called growth curve. To propose a new function to describe the entire growth in the productive life of females considering simultaneously the age, pregnancy and lactating effects, data of Parana Agronomic Institute (IAPAR) were used, It was composed by weight records of 19 Nellore females (NN), 7 F1 Guzerá x Nellore (GN), 19 F1 Red Angus x Nellore (RN), 4 F1 Marchigiana x Nellore (MN) and 17 F1 Simental x Nellore (SN).. The prediction equation was composed of three functions: gain of weight during the years, gain of weight during pregnancy and lost of weight during lactation A multiple coefficient of determination adjusted (Ra²) from 0.996 to 0.998 was obtained when the functions were simultaneously adjusting, with standard deviations lower than parameter estimates and the Durbin-Watson statistical value was higher than 0.8 when the function was adjusted to the records from the NN, MN, RN and SN groups. It´s an indicator that the function had a good adjustment. It was concluded that the new function described all the growth in productive life of females considering simultaneously the age, pregnancy and lactating effects.
