Análise do perfil empreendedor dos discentes dos cursos de ciências contábeis e administração nas instituições de ensino superior do município de Viçosa, MG.

Abstract

The entrepreneurship profile of undergraduate students in Accounting, Administration and Technology of Management Processes in Visoça MG Brazil is assessed and a comparison is made between first-year and school-leaving students. Current descriptive and exploratory research comprised a sample of 300 students from four higher education institutions (ESUV, UFV, UNIVIÇOSA and UNOPAR). Data were collected by a structured questionnaire with ten characteristics: “Self-reliance”; “Leadership”; “Team work”; “Facing calculated risks”; “Dedication and commitment”; “Persistence”; “Planning”; “Search for an Opportunity” and “Innovation”. Results revealed that, although 50% of the students had an entrepreneurship trend, there was no significant increase in any of the attributes when first-year and school-leaving students were compared. Students failed to develop their entrepreneurship ideal during the course years.
