Abstract: The text proposes to interpret the teaching in Nietzschean tragic perspective. The "being" teacher is characterized as the tragic becoming manifest where the Apollonian and Dionysian impulses as an expression of the will to power. This perspective is opposed to pessimism and nihilism that can be identified in the behavior of some teachers in many educational institutions. Aesthetic experience and the tragic metamorphosis of the spirit are seen as a path able to qualify and expand the potential of life and work in the face of adverse conditions in which they are educators.
