| Abstract: | The article intends, reviewing position previously expressed in academic papper, to explain the importance of defending the definition of a “condition analogous to slavery”, as foreseen in article 149 of the Brazilian Penal Code, as applicable for the new writing of the article 243 of the Constitution of the Republic, which demands definition of contemporary slave labor. With this, the article proposes to discuss the bills and the recent MTB Ordinance n. 1.129/2017 as expressions of the agribusiness offensive against the human rights of rural workers, deserving to be fought for the tactical support of their social rights. |
