Abstract: | SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) is a pandemic disease that progresses rapidly and has left consequences for the lives of millions of people. Changes in sensory perception and their consequences in the eating practices of patients affected by Covid-19 are still little studied. The objective of the present study was to verify how changes in sensory perceptions in people infected by viruses reflect on their eating choices and practices. This study obtained innovative results, in the scope of vaccination and reduction of negative effects or sensory losses, sensory changes and feelings such as anxiety increased by this group and a greater search for dietary strategies, these results will be fundamental to guide health actions developed by professionals of health in caring for individuals during and after Covid-19 infection, stimulating the rapid recovery of patients' taste/smell, mitigating the negative health effects due to dietary changes due to the infection. |
