Abstract: The use of embedded systems in data acquisition for the operational assessment of agricultural machinery has the objective of informing the operator values of the operational performance variables that are measured in real time, in a manner that allows the operator to make decisions and correct possible errors and operational flaws. In this work, the objective was to develop and use an automatic data acquisition system based on Arduino circuit board for obtaining values for wheel sliding and hourly fuel consumption. The system communicated with the portable device (tablet) by means of Bluetooth, and stored data in memory card. For the system validation, a traction operation trial was conducted, having a A950 Valtra tractor dragged a BX6110 Agrale tractor, varying the breaking gears of the Agrale tractor (4A, 2A, 4B and 3M) and considering two soil preparation systems (conventional and direct planting). Further, a randomized blocks design with 4 gears, 2 soil preparation systems, was used, with 3 blocks and 3 replicates. The means were analyzed by the Tukey test at 5% of probability. The acquisition system had the objective concluded and allowed the obtaining of real time data, as well as the storage of the data in the memory card. The gears greatly influenced wheel sliding. The highest values occurred with gears 4B and 3M (8.94% and 11.19%, respectively), while the highest fuel consumption value (7.84 L.h-1) occurred in the conventional system.
