Abstract: The study on the growth of common beans through the accumulation of dry matter along the time is of paramount importance for culture, as it becomes an informative tool in assistance in the proper management and in the detection of factors that affect the development of the plant. In this way, this study aimed to compare the nonlinear Logistic and Gompertz different probability distributions for errors incorporating asymmetry as normal, normal asymmetric and asymmetric t for the description of dry matter accumulation of common bean cultivar Bolinha. In addition, it presents an interface graphical parametric analysis. The experiment was carried out at the Federal University of Lavras, at period of the water harvest in 2006/2007 , in a causalized block design, containing three repetitions; formation the factorial scheme 5 x 8, being constituted of five densities sowing activities (75, 145, 215, 285 and 355 thousand plants per hectare), eight evaluation periods (13, 23, 33, 43, 53, 63, 73, 83 days after emergence) and dry matter accumulation was analyzed not total. As a result of the research of nonlinear models Logística and Gompertz proved adequate to describe the dry mass accumulation. The Logistic model with errors asymmetric normals and asymmetric t errors obtained better results. The Logistic Model with normal asymmetric errors, the densities 145, 285, 355 thousand plants per hectare stand out and for asymmetric t errors the densities 75 and 215 thousand plants per hectare.
